Synopsis

This study focuses on how a teacher implements reader-centred literary instruction in primary school. The research data consists of digital tasks created and implemented by a classroom teacher in their classroom between 2017 and 2023 as part of a series of action research studies. The findings revealed that the digital tasks supported the goals of reader-centred literacy teaching and the growth of students as active readers and interpreters of literature in a variety of ways. In conclusion, we can say that digitalisation helps a teacher to implement reader-centred literary education in primary school in the long term. When a teacher critically evaluates and monitors their own work using the digital environment, it opens opportunities to develop their own work in an evidence-based way.
