About the Press
The Finnish Society for Hymnology and Liturgy is an interdisciplinary and ecumenical society belonging to The Federation of Finnish Learned Societies, the purpose of which is to promote research and interest in hymnology and liturgy. To accomplish this purpose, the society publishes studies and other material in the fields of hymnology and liturgy, organises seminars and events, and liaises with domestic and foreign organisations in the field.
Hymnos (Yearbook of the Finnish Society for Hymnology and Liturgy) is a peer-reviewed journal, ranked at Level 1 (basic) in the Finnish Publication Forum classification system.
The articles are peer-reviewed (double-blind) before publishing by two reviewers, who evaluate articles’ possibilities to be published. After hearing the reviewers, the editorial board makes decision on publishing.
