This accessibility statement applies to the Edition.fi service. This statement was prepared on 12 February 2023 and last updated on 15 January 2026. The service is subject to the Act on the Provision of Digital Services, which requires that public online services must be accessible.

We have assessed the accessibility of the service ourselves.

Text alternatives for images are partially insufficient
The service contains images that lack text alternatives or whose text alternatives do not adequately describe the image content. (WCAG 1.1.1)

Insufficient contrast
On the home pages of some journals, the journal title in the top navigation bar does not have sufficient contrast with the background. In addition, the language selection links on the service’s front page do not have sufficient contrast without a background image. (WCAG 1.4.3)

Operable

Deficiencies in keyboard and assistive technology use
Not all functionalities can be smoothly used with a keyboard or assistive technologies. (WCAG 2.1.1)

Robust

Deficiencies in the roles of individual elements
The website contains elements that do not have descriptive roles. (WCAG 4.1.2)

The service includes third-party content that does not meet all accessibility requirements.
