About the publisher
The Modern Language Society of Helsinki (Uusfilologinen yhdistys - Nyfilologiska föreningen ry; www.ufy.fi) has published the multilingual monograph series Mémoires de la Société Néophilologique de Helsinki since 1893. The series is indexed in Linguistics Abstracts Online, the MLA International Bibliography, The Year’s Work in Modern Language Studies, and Ulrich's Web.
The series includes monographs, edited collections and doctoral theses in the fields of English, German and/or Romance philology. Philology is understood in a wide sense to encompass linguistic and/or philological analyses of historical and contemporary texts in various media. The series is multilingual: the languages of publication are English, German, French, Italian and Spanish. The series follows the guidelines of the Finnish National Board on Research Integrity (TENK) on good scientific practice and research integrity.
In 2023, the series moved from print (ISSN 0355-0192) to open access electronic format. Contributions published in electronic format in Mémoires de la Société Néophilologique de Helsinki are licensed under a CC-Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0). The copyright is held by the publisher, the Modern Language Society of Helsinki. Authors are allowed to deposit versions of their work in an institutional or other repository of their choice.).
